The first place to stay in Bordeaux that I suggest you put on your list is the city centre.

In fact, Bordeaux’s city centre is home to the city’s most important monuments and attractions: the Place de la Bourse and the Mirror of Water, Saint-Pierre Church, the Bordeaux quayside, etc.

It’s also worth noting that that the Pey Berland district is home to virtually all the city’s museums. These include the Musée des beaux-arts, the Musée des arts décoratifs and Design and the Musée d’Aquitaine.
As for Meriadeck, remember that this is Bordeaux’s shopping district. If you want to go shopping in the wine capital, I recommend staying in Meriadeck.
