Best cocktail bars and lounge bars
Taverna Dos Travodores
You absolutely have to stop by this very nice bar. Hidden almost at the end of a dark street and breathing Portugal, Tavernados Trovadores promises you to spend a very pleasant evening in a friendly atmosphere.
Here, not only do they serve really tasty and refreshing cocktails, but they also offer you the chance to try some good local food. You will have the opportunity to dine indoors, in a charming lounge or on the summer terrace, listening to traditional Lusitanian music. This hostel is perfect for meetings with friends or for special occasions.
Fonte Da Pipa
We stumbled upon this very old bar by chance when we went to see the famous Pipa Fountain, in the heart of Sintra.
What we liked most about Fonte Da Pipa was its cozy style and its comfortable and welcoming lounges where you can have excellent cocktails alone or with your friends.
We also loved being in this unique setting that is reminiscent of the beautiful streets of the city in every way. The walls are covered with beautiful black and white paintings of famous singers, but our favorite part was playing darts in the non-smoking room.
Best bars and terraces in Sintra
Estefanea Cafe
This small bar-restaurant will not fail to seduce you with its class and the kindness of its staff. We recommend that you go there at least once during your visit to Sintra to enjoy its friendly atmosphere.
At the Estefanea cafe, you will have the chance to taste the most delicious dishes in a very nice setting and have a cold drink.
To enjoy a beautiful view of the city, we encourage you to go to the terrace, where the air is much more pleasant and your evening will be all the sweeter.
Bar Do Fundo
Imagine a wonderful evening with a good dinner and delicious wines overlooking the ocean. At Bar Do Fundo, it’s possible!
Head to this quiet seaside pub where the food is truly exquisite and the wine list is very rich and varied. If you sit on the terrace, you can even hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and admire the most beautiful sunset; enough to whet your appetite!
Best bars for music
Bar Saloon Cintra
Of all the bars we went to in Sintra, this one is by far the best, probably because we found that little extra that makes all the difference; human warmth!
Listening to music while having a good beer is already an activity that nobody would dislike, but if on top of that you have the opportunity to do it in such a generous place, it would be even more attractive.
We immediately loved the decoration, especially since the idea of putting cozy sofas instead of chairs has always seduced us. As for the welcome, there is really nothing to complain about!
Vila Velha da Sintra
If the musical choices are more than perfect in this trendy bar, the food and wine are even more so!
On the menu, lemon pies, chicken pies, quiches and various salads, in short everything you need to eat well.
Best nightclubs and bars for dancing
CASA DA MÚSICA (HOUSE OF MUSIC)
The least we can say about the Casa Da Musica or House of Music is that it doesn’t do things by halves.
Here, everything is done to please you. From the hippest musical styles to classical music, jazz and reggae, everything is pure happiness.
If the rustic and timeless decoration of this club makes it an ideal place to spend a good evening, the courtesy of its bartender adds an additional attraction that you will certainly appreciate.
Medieval Pub Casa do Fauno
This place is, without a doubt, made for party people who are looking to have fun until the end of the night. Are you one of them? Then you’ve come to the right place!
We are delighted to tell you about our experience at Pub Medieval do Fauno, which was more than satisfying on all levels.
We loved partying with a great crowd and a very full house. We also enjoyed a wonderful sunset during a short walk around the property.

Bar A Parodia
Our visit to this bar, located on the outskirts of Sintra, was very entertaining but also very rewarding. We had a wonderful evening in a setting that took us back a few centuries; it was absolutely amazing!
In addition, the cocktails were delicious and well prepared and we even got a history lesson on the bar and Sintra
Cinco Lounge
We were very pleasantly surprised by the intimacy and romance of this bar. My wife and I went there last summer during our honeymoon in Portugal and we didn’t regret it, quite the contrary.
The setting was perfect for a romantic evening, the cocktails were excellent and the staff made us feel very welcome.
When we learned that we were newlyweds, the bartenders prepared a nice surprise that moved us a lot.
At Ginjinha
This is the bar that serves the best ginjinhas in the whole region. This is where we discovered this typical lisbonese cherry liqueur. If one day you are in this city near Sintra, go to “A Ginjinha”, you won’t be disappointed!

Cinema City Beloura
Although this cinema is probably living its last days of glory, it is still worth it. Located between Sintra and Cascais, Cinema City Beloura has a large parking lot that is always available. It won’t resist the competition for long, so take advantage of it before it closes its doors for good!
