Best areas to stay in San Francisco

Nob Hill and Union Square

loger-san-francisco-meilleur-quartier-union-square

I was hesitating between these two neighbourhoods where to sleep in San Francisco to suggest for those visiting SF for the first time, but I decided on both. Because they’re right next to each other, and offer totally different atmospheres.

Union Square is in fact the most important shopping and hotel centre in SF. You’ll also find the most famous brands, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hugo Boss.

What’s more, it’s easier to get to other parts of the city here, thanks to the bus system, the electric train system or BART, not to mention the historic Cable Car!

Staying in Nob hill

Let me tell you why I love Nob Hill. This neighbourhood just off Union Square is one of the most affluent in San Francisco, and while that drives up the price, it’s also aesthetically pleasing.

Plus, just around the corner, you’ve got the admirable Russian Hill residential neighbourhood with its sumptuous Victorian homes and stunning views across the bay.

Also nearby, you’ll find North Beach, San Francisco’s Italian sleeping quarter, which is a close match to Chinatown.

Nob Hill also offers some iconic views, such as the view of Lombard Street, the most ‘winding’ street in San Francisco, if not the world.

Nob Hill is home to a host of luxury hotels, boutiques and restaurants, as well as a variety of bars on Polk Street.

For all these reasons, I think it’s the best place to stay in San Francisco, if you’re on a budget.

South of Market-ou-dormir-san-francisco (1)

If you’re on a budget, SoMa is the place to stay in San Francisco.

You can also find cheaper flats in Richmond, Sunset and other suburbs! SoMa, however, has more hotel and hostel options. It’s also one of the cheapest places to stay in San Francisco.

A South of Market, frequently abbreviated to SoMa, is a trendy area just off Union Square union Square. Throughout its history, the region has seen its fair share of ups and downs its fair share of ups and downs, but today it’s a fairly prosperous neighbourhood. In fact, it’s home to a number of start-ups and Internet companies, including Pinterest, Linkedin and Dropbox.

SoMa is also home to a myriad of attractions and leisure facilities. As well as museums such as the Museum of Modern Art, and the Cartoon Arts Museum – there are others – don’t forget to check out 111 Minna, which has the unique feature of being a place for exhibiting art by day and a club by night.

I suggest that the perfect place to stay for pets and families is the and families, the Americania Hotel Badass flat, centrally located, and what’s more, there’s even a cat to keep you company.

The area to go out in San Francisco: the Mission

Mission-ou-loger-san-francisco

If you’re a fan of select clubs, SoMa might be best for you, if you’re more into smart cocktail bars, you’ll be more at home in Union Square you’ll be more at home in Union Square.

If, on the other hand, you think an ideal night out is to immerse yourself in the life of the local the local scene, enjoying an eclectic atmosphere in the inexpensive bars with live music and a fun atmosphere, The Mission is one of San Francisco’s san Francisco’s best nightlife areas. In a word the beating heart of SF.

You have kids and are wondering how to keep them entertained? I highly highly recommend Delores Park, with its lush green lawns shaded by shaded by tall palm trees. You’ll also find a football pitch a football pitch, six tennis courts, a basketball court, a multi-purpose pitch a playground and two off-leash dog play areas. There are even festivals and other cultural events.

The perfect for a family picnic on a sunny afternoon sunny afternoons. In fact, many locals bring their own alcohol and sweets and enjoy a bit of music. They take the opportunity to stroll around and walk their dogs. Anything goes anything goes in Delores Park.

The Mission is traditionally the Hispanic quarter, although like much of the Bay Area it has seen its fair share of gentrification. But this is where you’ll find the best Mexican and Central American food in San Francisco.

The trendiest district in San Francisco: Haight-Ashbury

Haight-Ashbury-visite-san-francisco

I was i couldn’t wait to discover this must-see neighbourhood because I’d heard so much about it often presented as the emblem of non-conformism, the cradle of the counter-culture cradle of the counter-culture.

Well hippies have long since deserted Haight-Ashbury, it’s still one of the most still one of San Francisco’s coolest neighbourhoods. You can still feel that whiff of freedom, peace and free love that hangs over everything and permeates the atmosphere of this neighbourhood. So don’t be surprised if, as you stroll along, you come across erotic bookshops erotic and spiritual bookshops.

The district is full of local vibes and extravagant places to discover, old Victorian buildings that are now home to colourful and funky businesses colourful, modern businesses.

It’s also the ideal address for retro shopping in San Francisco! Without without turning into a hippie, you can still buy yourself a souvenir in the form of a t-shirt t-shirts, posters, incense, Buddha statuettes, Hindu or Nepalese jewellery..

Personally, I have a weakness for the stalls selling second-hand books and records, where I’ve discovered some real treasures. One example is Amoeba Music (1855 Haight Street), which has a wide range of new and second-hand CDs.
