Going out in Clarke Quay : bars, restaurants and live concerts in Singapore

quartier-sortir-soir-singapour- (2)

We think this is the perfect place to go out in Singapore. You’ll find plenty of bars, not always affordable, but usually offering a “buy one get one free” deal. It’s also a great place to go and watch the most important sporting events on the big screen.

There are also a few nightclubs in this area, including Attica, which we personally recommend. Nestled on Clarke Street, this 2-story club, and therefore 2 bars, offers an electric atmosphere to say the least. It is the must of the Singaporean nightlife

And if you don’t feel like dancing on a dance floor, you can join the miniature golf/bar/restaurant Holey Moley to have fun on a crazy miniature golf course while sipping a good cocktail. Fun guaranteed!

But, there are other options, so if you like to listen to good live rock music while drinking good beers and eating reasonably priced bistro food, you can check out Crazy Elephant. But for house and techno music, we recommend Headquarters by the Council which is confined to the depths of Boat Quay.

If you’re feeling peckish, there are a myriad of restaurants in Clarke Quay. If you like live music and draught beer, we really recommend a trip to Harry’s Bar for a good atmosphere.

Bar and live music at Wala Wala in Singapore

This enclave neighborhood in the heart of Singapore has it all. Packed with restaurants, bars, nightclubs and stores, it’s a perfect meeting place for epicureans and fans of live music and clubbing

Holland Village, which is not really a village as its name suggests, is very popular among Singapore’s young population. But it is also a respite for expats looking for a more relaxed atmosphere and to consume English.

You can find all kinds of cuisines and drinks in Holland Village and we recommend some of the places we find amazing like Tawandang Microbrewery, Harry’s, White Rabbit, Wala Wala Cafe Bar and Lucky Bar perfect for good food and a good night out in Singapore.

Chijmes: the top places to have a drink in Singapore

Located at Victoria Street

It is an old convent transformed into a leisure complex where you can go for a drink in the evening. It is also a meeting place, a gastronomy center, a cocktail of beautiful ethnic stores

Each bar-restaurant has its own little decoration, and the menus are very attractive. It’s not a fast-paced party place like other places, but the setting is extraordinary

You can also spend excellent evenings here if there are broadcasts of sporting events on the big screen. The body of the church, now the Chijmes Hall, serves as a visual and audio showcase for countless concerts, recitals and plays.

Club Street: the best bars in Singapore

Here you’ll find several bars, some very cozy to relax in, others to dance in. This street nestled in Chinatown is extremely charming and has various hotels and guest houses.

You will meet a lot of expats and western tourists, you say to yourself that this is the case in almost all the bars and nightclubs, but there is a special charm that emanates from it, mixed with an unmatched scent of nostalgia. At least, that’s our impression.

Anyway, it’s nice if you decide to have dinner in a fine restaurant in the neighborhood and are looking for a warm and festive atmosphere to sip a drink afterwards.

The most famous place is the Club Street Social, which, with its brick walls, recreates the sober atmosphere of a Manhattan bistro bar, refined but cozy.

IZY, located on Club Street, is the perfect place to enjoy chicken karaage and beer.

But if you’re in the mood for a more Spanish atmosphere, then head to Los Primos, which will offer tapas until two in the morning.

Do the night market in Bugis

If you want a total immersion in the local culture and treat yourself to some cheap clothes, we recommend visiting the Bugis Night Market. Known for its late-night bars and restaurants, this area is home to some of the best shopping in the region. Once you’ve finished your dinner, a quick tour of Bugis Street is in order. It’s a huge tangle of alleys where you’ll find everything from clothes to beauty items to electronics

It will be crowded, but, you will certainly find the right souvenir to illustrate your unforgettable vacations in Singapore.

Romantic dinner in a cable car

We’ll end our trip in style, or in the sky. It may cost you an arm and a leg, but you have to admit that it’s a little original, and it’s a once in a lifetime experience.

So, invite your partner to the private cable car hovering between Singapore Island and Sentosa and enjoy your romance over a delicious dinner. There are four four-course menus, including one vegetarian. The choice is yours.

You’ll also be treated to a welcome drink when you arrive at Faber Peak, the venue for this adventure.

This tour will take 90 minutes to complete and you will be enchanted by the lights and the magnificence of the night aerial view of the area. The experience is fantastic.

Try to arrive between 6 and 7 p.m. for a special culinary adventure.

Night Safari in the middle of Singapore!

Singapore is home to the world’s first night zoo, Night Safari. You’ll get to tour the different habitats at night and see these nocturnal creatures as they awaken. You will find that the experience is fabulous, unique.

This zoo is home to over 130 different species: raccoon cats, pangolins, palm civets and binturongs among many others.

You can take the streetcar and go around the park with a guide. The visit will take forty minutes. You can also stop and continue on foot. However, you should know that there is an area of the park that can only be reached by streetcar, where you are only a few steps away from the animals.

There are also four trails that you can walk through the jungle. Each path will take you between 15 and 20 minutes, during which time you will be able to see some of the animals such as the raccoon cat, or the giant flying squirrel almost within your reach in action. This ability to walk through the jungle gives Safari a touch of realism that you won’t find in other zoos.

The best thing about this zoo is that there are almost no fences, sometimes just a window or a ditch. So you can get really close to the animals. The show is really impressive! Imagine yourself contemplating a dogfish hanging by its feet and munching on its fruit.

There are also plenty of restaurants just outside the park.

Get ready for the ghost hunt

Singapore is said to be full of haunted places, so why wait for Halloween when you can get spooked and experience unparalleled emotions any day of the year?

If you’re the kind of person who likes the thrill of a spine-tingling evening with lots of creepy ghosts hiding in the wardrobes, brace yourself and visit strange and mysterious places like Old Changi Hospital, Bukit Brown Cemetery, Pasir Ris Park and Nee Soon Rubber Estate. The evening is likely to be a bit eventful and chilling.

But, we don’t advise you to go alone and instead contact groups like the Singapore Paranormal Investigators for help before venturing into the unknown. Otherwise, there are ghost guides for novices to unveil the supernatural world in Singapore.

Go on a midnight shopping spree

Shopping is said to be a very soothing form of therapy, no matter the time of day or night. Singapore offers you this privilege with the opening of the popular Don Don Donki in Orchard Central, where you can shop 24/7, but don’t forget the legendary Mustafa Center in Little India.

So if you feel sleep is eluding you, go ahead and treat yourself to snacks, electronics and other random stuff.
